Disco FrankenStein/ Rococo Beauty

So my assignment was to come up with a disco design for Frankenstein. I think I did fairly well. I gave him a more modern look since most of the students at my school pretty much look the same. I like the end result. With the bride of Frankenstein, she has a more Rococo look. I made her hair extra curly and we can't forget about the white part of her hair can we? Her design was a bit challenging, but I had fun with it.

Alternative Background

So this is an alternative background I did just in case my turtle file would corrupt, in which cases, it did. I'm trying to recover the file now, but in the meantime, here's it's replacement. I wanted to focus more on mountains only because mountains are really beautiful in my opinion. Plus I wanted to test out the lasso tool and see how far my imagination can actually take me. I think it could still use some work, but I think it looks really good.

References for Floating Turtle island.

References for the city I'm gonna place on the back of a giant sea turtle. I'm gonna use the lighting as a reference for the buidlings and mountains I'm gonna add. Might be in three point perspective too.

Environments- Landscapes and Alleyways

So for the first page, I went ahead and designed a few towers, mostly in color. I drew some inspiration from 2012, Avatar, and Whisper of the Heart
In the second one, I tried to get a more grainy look to most of them. Halo and Hunger games were the biggest inspirations for these thumbnails.
The third one was a bit challenging, but I managed to draw some ideas out. I'm really proud of the last three.

Dr. Macomb Von Stratch-and-Sniff

So this is the end result of the character I had to create for this assignment. His head was fun to work on. Since his head was mechanical, his face changes colors due to his mood. I would actually consider him an android more than a robot. His body is really long btw. Tall and kinda intimidating with hearts on his gloves. His expressions in order: Angry Annoyed Sad Surprised Blushing Sleepy Nervous Excited.

New Scientist.

So for my new assignment, I'm suppose to be drawing a scientist/ultra happy/ flamboyant. I came up with a few references for what I kinda want him to look like. I may add more to the design once I get an actual idea. So far these are the only ones that came to mind.

Three Styles

So I considered this a fun assignment. It definitely helped me experiment with styles I would have never thought about using. The person that I had to draw was a colonial farmer. He had to be a young boy so trying to come up with a concept for that was fun. Down below is the end result.
In order, the one on the left is my original style. The one in the middle is Bravest Warrior designed. The one on the far right is Atlantis: The Lost Empire designed. The Bravest Warrior style was the most fun I had out of the three mainly because of how loose the character was. I didn't really like the Atlantis designed one. No matter how many ways I drew him, he looked like a teenager instead of a young boy. Regardless, I had tons of fun working on this.
